Originally from Portland, Oregon, Karen worked as an actress since childhood. After graduating from Wheaton College in Chicago, she moved to New York to work on a film, then met her husband Kyle and never left. Today she and her family live in a wonderful Victorian home they own in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. Karen understands the steps necessary in the purchase, sale, and renovation of a property. The mother of three is also empathetic with the seasons of life of each buyer as they search for a home for their needs, whether single professionals, growing families, or empty nesters.

A former resident of Manhattan's Upper West Side, Karen enjoys Brooklyn life and the uniqueness of its people and neighborhoods. She is actively involved in her community as a founding member of the Brooklyn Waldorf School which she co-established with a few other local couples. Karen also enjoys yoga, cooking, and family bike riding excursions.
