Originally from Portland, Oregon, Karen worked as an actress since childhood. After graduating from Wheaton College in Chicago, she moved to New York to work on a film, then met her husband Kyle and never left. Today she and her family live in a wonderful Victorian home they own in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. Karen understands the steps necessary in the purchase, sale, and renovation of a property. The mother of three is also empathetic with the seasons of life of each buyer as they search for a home for their needs, whether single professionals, growing families, or empty nesters.

 

Today partnering with her husband Kyle at The Corcoran Group, Karen likens her ability to seamlessly navigate the real estate process for clients to her work in film and theater; where time was crucial, the stakes high and the attention to detail crucial in creating a match between buyer and seller. She is known for her ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and to bring all parties together to ensure a win-win outcome.

 

A former resident of Manhattan's Upper West Side, Karen enjoys Brooklyn life and the uniqueness of its people and neighborhoods. She is actively involved in her community as a founding member of the Brooklyn Waldorf School which she co-established with a few other local couples. Karen also enjoys yoga, cooking, and family bike riding excursions.
